Study Abroad Program

Welcome! And thank you for showing interest in International College of Cosmetology's study abroad program. This program is for those who are planning to study abroad, or would like to obtain special skills or improve your skills in Cosmetology.

Since our institution's establishment in 1999, we have had thousands of students attend and received licenses for the state of California. International College of Cosmetology's course programs are designed not only to learn the basic skills of the beauty industry, but to acquire the more advanced skills used in the salon.

Currently we have students representing many different nationalities in attendance, and classes are presented in multiple languages; English, Spanish, Vietnamese, Chinese, and Japanese.

International Student Exchange Program

International students are required to have approval and follow certain procedures in order to be admitted to the United States as an exchange student. Since September 11, 2001 the United States government has increased security measures for international students. This is to ensure safety for students and citizens. International College of Cosmetology is approved by the United States Government to host students to study abroad.

English as a Second Language

We offer ESL (English as a Second Language) class. In this class, you will learn from Basic English, to integrate into a normal American life, to specialized English as a professional, which you will to become, in order to communicate effectively with customers.

We do NOT require TOEFL scores that are usually necessary to enroll in institutes elsewhere in America.

Courses for International Students

Besides normal classes that are being offered to local students, we have additional course programs to teach standard English for students who seek improvement or would like to learn English during your stay at our institution

How to apply

1.Download and print out an application for admission:
- Application in English.
- Application in Japanese.
- Application in Vietnamese.
2. Fill out the form and prepare:
- Completed application.
- Non-Refundable / Non-Transferable application fee of $285 U.S. dollars.
- 5 Passport size photographs for applicant and each dependent.
- Passport I.D. page for applicant and dependent.
- Original bank verification letter and/or scholarship letter.
- Personal Essay with statement of why student would like to study in this school.

Admissions Requirement

- You must have a valid passport at least 6 months from application date to the local United States Embassy/Consulate.
- You must be 18 or older.
- You must be able to pay for the student's study and stay in the United States.
- You must submit the essay why you would like to study in this school.

I-20

What is I-20?
I-20 is the certificate of admission from the immigration office, supplied by International College of Cosmetology. You will need this I-20 at all times to apply for your student visa, enter the United States, or stay in U.S. This form is proof that you are a legal student. The school has to be approved by the American government to issue I-20s, and we are an approved school.
